Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and RDCS or CCI certification for a 26-week echocardiography lab assignment in Urbana, IL.
Details
- Echocardiography laboratory setting within an acute care hospital
- Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures
- Full range of cardiac diagnostic testing
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Rotational weekend shifts required
- Holiday coverage is negotiable
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
- Associate's degree in Ultrasound required
- RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory
- Critiques image positioning, technical factors, and alignment to maintain acceptable imaging quality standards
- Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
- Cross-trains to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services
- Assists performing physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams
- Candidates who have been on assignment with this facility for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract period
