Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of experience and ARDMS (AB) certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- General diagnostic ultrasound setting performing abdominal, OB, and small parts examinations
- Procedures include ultrasound-guided special procedures and endocavity probe examinations
- Uses PACS for image archiving and transmission, including after-hours image sending as needed
- Charting performed in Epic
- Day shifts
- Every other weekend availability may be required per department manager or supervisor request
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound technologist experience
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Proficiency with PACS systems
- Experience with Epic required
- Competency in high-level disinfection of endocavity probes
- Ability to perform ultrasound-guided procedures and provide imaging guidance for attending physicians
Additional Information
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, verify orders, and confirm patient identification using two established identifiers
- Consult with radiologist for exam review prior to patient discharge
- Responsible for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and notifying Clinical Engineering as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all HIPAA standards
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility will be subject to a local pay rate
- Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility and must leave for at least 26 weeks before returning
- Holidays recognized by the facility include Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
