Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with strong ED and InterQual experience for a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department position requiring an active CA RN license.

Details

• High-volume Emergency Department (ED) setting
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8 hours), with potential flexibility for a 4x10-hour schedule
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Case Management RN experience required
• Strong ED nursing background required
• Strong InterQual experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• At least 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in Case Management within the past 2 years required
• Must have at least one supervisory/director/manager reference from within the past year from a relevant unit
• A second professional reference within the past 2 years (charge nurse, co-worker, or educator accepted)

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction applies
• No RTO requests permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; confirmed RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling is permitted
• Candidates who have previously been employed by this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
