Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1.5+ years of experience for a night shift position at an acute care hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, supporting adult and pediatric patient populations across critical care settings.
Details
- 13-week travel contract
- Works in a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Provides care across PICU, ED, and adult critical care; may float to additional units based on skill set and hospital needs
- Performs blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PT
- Equipment used includes Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP
- Charting in Epic; experience preferred
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday)
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RRT license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- NBRC credential required
- BLS required
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- PICU/NICU experience highly preferred
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP highly preferred; may be obtained onsite
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
- Copy of certifications required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- All time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
- Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
