Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele (6S) position at an academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Blended Med/Surg Tele and PCU unit (6S) within a 356-bed academic medical center and Level I trauma center in St. Louis, MO
• Primary service lines include thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, general surgery, and general medicine
• Patient ratios are 1:5 for Med/Surg Tele patients and 1:3 for PCU patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to Med/Surg and Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Strong Med/Surg Tele background required; PCU experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Affiliated with Saint Louis University School of Medicine; serves as a tertiary care academic medical center for the east Missouri region
• Travelers must be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing — CAPRs and PAPRs are neither provided nor permitted; failure to comply will result in cancellation
• Scrub color required: Navy Blue
