Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring hands-on interventional cardiac cath lab experience and active IL licensure.
Details
- Cath Lab unit within a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
- Patient population includes adults undergoing interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures
- Procedures include: diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, PA line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, and circulating procedures
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Candidates will work 2–3 weekends per contract
- On-call is required as needed
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays falling within the contract period
- RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
- The facility does not accept travel pairs
