Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital in Clyde, NC, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 39-bed Medical Surgical Combination unit in a 154-bed community hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
• Patient ratio of approximately 4:1
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required on weekends
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Paragon
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — NC or compact state license required
• AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Joint Commission Accredited Duke LifePoint hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• Scrubs: RNs wear navy blue
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Located in Clyde, NC — approximately 20 miles from Asheville and near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
