Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Dallas, TX, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital environment
- Adult ED patient population
- Shift hours: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM (1P-1A)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities required
- 8-week contract
- Floating required on an as-needed basis
- Charting system: Meditech (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale — all must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED-specific experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Time off cannot be accommodated during FIFA (June 14 – July 14)
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Artificial nails, gel nails, and similar nail enhancements are not permitted
- Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
- Visible piercings beyond the ears (including nose and tongue rings) are prohibited
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- First-time travelers are not explicitly addressed — candidates with strong ED experience are encouraged to apply
