Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital in Pennsylvania, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 230 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, hospice, post-op abdominal and OB/GYN surgery, UTI, colitis, and small bowel obstruction (SBO)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope to like units is required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania (PA) or a valid Compact RN license — pending licensure is not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted but will be offered a different pay rate
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; additional RTO is subject to manager's discretion
• 13-week contract
