Description
American Traveler is seeking a multi-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and dual ARRT registration for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- CT and X-Ray (multi-modality) imaging unit within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Experience with emergency, trauma, and pediatric patient populations is highly preferred
- Orthopedic exams in both CT and X-Ray modalities are highly preferred
- 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required
- Floating to like units is possible per facility needs
- Charting is done in Epic; experience is highly preferred
- Experience with Siemens equipment and PACS is highly preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a multi-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist
- Dual ARRT registration in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
- SCRQSA certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only) required; ACLS pending accepted if obtained within 2–3 weeks of hire
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- SC state license required if applicable
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Provide quality imaging and patient care across X-Ray and CT modalities, producing diagnostic images per licensed practitioner requests
- Responsible for explaining imaging procedures to patients and ensuring competency in all procedures performed
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to manager and unit needs
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- Scrub colors are teal blue top and black bottoms
- Parking is free on day shifts; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity occurs in August and September
