Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in the Respiratory Services department of a large, award-winning hospital in Asheville, NC.
Details
- Respiratory Services department in a large 854-bed hospital serving as a regional referral center with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and children's hospital
- Adult and NICU/Peds service lines with night shift staffing of 12–16 RRTs for adult and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
- Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
- Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
- EMR: Cerner
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Floating required to all critical care units and floors
- At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — license required if applicable
- Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Must have active clinical experience in respiratory therapy within the last 6 months
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- NRP preferred, and required for RT staff caring for neonates
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Work alongside a team of 120 respiratory therapy staff across day and night shifts
- Scrub color: Medium Gray/Pewter
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
