Description
American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of high-risk OB experience for an outpatient clinic setting requiring ARDMS OB/GYN certification.
Details
- Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic setting
- Average daily census of 26 visits across 3 ultrasound rooms
- High-risk OB/GYN patient population including multiple gestations, placenta previa, and complex fetal anatomy cases
- Procedures include Detailed Anatomic Ultrasound exams, Umbilical Artery and Middle Cerebral Artery Dopplers, Transvaginal Cervical Length measurements, Fetal Anatomical Survey, Amniotic Fluid Index, and Inter/Intra-Orbital Measurements
- Equipment includes GE Voluson Ultrasound Machines (E10 and Expert 22) and ViewPoint Reporting
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Floating may be required between like departments, units, and facilities as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk OB experience, with at least one full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
- Current BLS, ARDMS, and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
- Proficiency with a full range of OB/GYN ultrasound techniques including Doppler studies (Umbilical Cord, Cold Flow, M-Mode), Transvaginal imaging, and detailed fetal anatomical assessments
- Experience with GE Voluson ultrasound equipment and PACS
- Both Kansas and Missouri licenses (or compact license) must be in hand at time of consideration, as floating between facilities may be required — license required if applicable
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Perform comprehensive Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound examinations including fetal anatomy surveys, biometric measurements (abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles), Doppler studies, and transvaginal exams
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
- 2 professional references are required — at least one must be at the supervisor level or above, and the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from individuals who have worked with the candidate within the past year
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Online modules are required as part of compliance and must be completed prior to the start date
