Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of radiologic equipment experience and active Epic proficiency for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Oregon.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
- Primary focus on pediatric patients with both congenital and adult procedures performed in the Cath Lab suite
- Responsibilities span circulating, scrubbing, and operating imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and ultrasonography
- May cross-train to EP, Hybrid OR, or other service areas; candidates who refuse float assignments as requested may be subject to contract cancellation
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekends required only when on call
- On-call required; ability to work independently with department physicians and nurses while on call
- Charting in Epic (experience required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration required
- Active Oregon Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license required (pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- COVID vaccination required; no exemptions
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures by circulating, operating fluoroscopy and ultrasonography equipment, and scrubbing in to assist with procedures
- Preps patients and supplies under sterile conditions; fine motor skills required for tasks such as threading stents and balloons on wires
- Operates automatic injectors and selects appropriate contrast agents under physician direction
- Responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating borrowed equipment from other departments
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Cardiac Interventional and/or Vascular Interventional certification (RCES or RCIS) from ARRT preferred
- EP/Cath Lab technologist knowledge and skills preferred
- Scrubs provided (no prints)
- Daily parking fee applies

- RTO requests must be noted at time of submission; maximum of 2 weeks RTO allowed
- Former OHSU employees or previous OHSU travelers must have been away from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
