Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Great Barrington, MA, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience along with Post Partum/Mother Baby experience and a BSN.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-week travel contract
• Work in a Family Birthplace unit at a Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital
• Private labor and delivery rooms with infant warmers, monitoring equipment, and specialized ORs for Cesarean births
• 24-hour anesthesia and delivery services available
• Collaborative team environment with obstetricians, midwives, lactation consultants, and obstetrical nursing staff
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
• On-call requirements apply (details TBD)

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current L&D experience required
• Post Partum/Mother Baby (PP/MB) experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Current L&D, Post Partum, and Mother Baby skills checklists (within the past year) required for consideration
• One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide individualized labor, delivery, and postpartum care in collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants
• Facility is a nationally recognized hospital ranked in the top 10% for patient satisfaction and experience
• RTO must be requested and verified prior to submission — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after submission or at the time of interview/offer will not be considered
• Two specific interview date and time availabilities must be provided for consideration — 'anytime' will not be accepted
• Non-billable orientation of 8 hours
