Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care facility in New York, requiring CAH experience and a NY RN license.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Emergency Department with an additional 10 acute beds in an acute care setting
• Critical Access Hospital (CAH) environment with a varied patient population across all ED case types
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour day shifts with start times of 0700, 1000, 1100, or 1200
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED/ER experience required
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience required
• Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience is required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Must be able to multitask effectively and practice independently in a lower-volume environment
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• RN will be responsible for covering all patient types across the ED
• Ability to hit the ground running is essential given the self-sufficient nature of the unit
• COVID vaccination preferred; exemptions are accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront at time of consideration
• BSN is preferred for this position
