Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of ED and critical care experience for a night shift position at a full-service acute care hospital in Hickory, NC.

Details

• Located in the Respiratory Therapy department on the 1st floor of an acute care hospital with 355 beds, including a 32-bed ED, Level 3 NICU, Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, and Lung Center
• Serves all patient populations including adult, pediatric, and neonatal
• Equipment includes ventilators (Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1), BiPAP (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, high flow oxygen (Optiflow), MetaNebs, Vest, and Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas analyzers
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekend hours required
• On-call may be required
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required
• 2 years of experience preferred, with emphasis on ED and critical care
• Nursery/NICU experience preferred
• Active NC RRT license required if applicable
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA certifications required)
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Must not be employed full-time elsewhere

• Department has high staff retention, reflecting a stable and collaborative work environment
