Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wytheville, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and MedHost EMR proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) in a community hospital setting
• 14-bed ED serving all patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps and Spacelabs cardiac monitors
• EMR: MedHost (experience required)
• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (11a–11p)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• MedHost EMR experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care to all patient populations in a community hospital ED
• Any color solid scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
