Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a freestanding ED in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ED experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work setting is a freestanding emergency department (FSED) located in Denver, CO
- 11-bed unit staffed with 2 RNs per shift, 1 MD 24/7, 1 radiology tech 24/7, and 1 security guard 24/7
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- Equipment includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps
- EMR system is Meditech
- Shift hours are 7P–7A (nights)
- Procedures performed include EKGs, IV placement, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care
- Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC, and CPI (or approved equivalent such as SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ED RN experience required
- All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- ER charge RN experience is preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
