Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced freestanding ER, requiring 1 year of acute care ED experience and the ability to work night shift.
Details
- Work in an 11-bed freestanding emergency department (FSED)
- Care for a general ED patient population with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Unit staffed with 2 RNs around the clock, plus a paramedic, MD, radiology tech, and security guard
- Perform typical ED procedures including EKGs, IVs, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care
- Use GE monitors and Baxter pumps
- Chart in Meditech EMR
- Shift schedule is nights, 7p-7a
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care ED RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI Blue Card
- Must be able to work mid-shift and night shift
- ER charge RN experience preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Deliver emergency care in a high-acuity freestanding ER setting
- Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred
- Ideal candidates are positive, flexible, and strong team players
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
