Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a freestanding ED in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ED experience and a full certification package including TNCC.
Details
- Work setting is a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 11 beds located in Denver, CO
- Staffed 24/7 with 2 RNs per shift, 1 MD, 1 radiology tech, and 1 security guard; a paramedic is available on a mid-shift basis 40 hours per week
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- Equipment includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps
- EMR is Meditech
- Shift is 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (mid/night shift)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ED RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI (or approved equivalent such as SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Must be able to work mid-shift and night shifts
Additional Information
- Typical procedures include EKGs, IV placement, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care
- ER charge RN experience is preferred; candidates with this background will be given priority consideration
- Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred
- Ideal candidates are positive, flexible, and team-oriented
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
