Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and the ability to take call.

Details

• 7-OR-suite surgical unit within a 215-bed hospital
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Variable call schedule required
• EMR: Meditech
• Required specialties include GYN, urology, general surgery, robotics, and orthopedics
• Typical procedures include robotic-assisted GYN, urology, and general surgery cases; cystoscopy; breast surgery; knee scopes; and total joint replacements
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis with hospital staff

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR RN experience required
• Experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, robotics, and orthopedics required
• Ability to take call required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Surgical staff scrub color is Ciel Blue
• Unit team includes CSTs, RNs, aides, and leadership (approximately 30 staff total)
