Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring strong interventional and STEMI experience, EP device proficiency, and a mandatory on-call rotation.
Details
- Hospital Cath Lab setting
- Procedures performed include: Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, Rotablader, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, stents, thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, and PCI
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (shift times vary between 6:30–17:00 and 7:30–18:00)
- On-call required: 10 shifts per month, including weekend call
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required
- Cerner charting experience is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA and RQI accepted)
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab RN experience
- Strong experience with interventional procedures and STEMI management required
- Proficiency with EP devices required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- RN degree from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are eligible at a modified pay package
- Any former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month separation before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset travel eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- No New Year's Eve shift requirement
