Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Works in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within the MS/Tele service line and between two campus locations (Belleville and Shiloh)
- Charting via Epic; experience with Epic is required
- Block scheduling is not available
- No parking costs at this facility
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required (pending IL license is acceptable for consideration — please note pending status)
- Current BLS (BCLS) certification required; OCN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub color: Navy
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain for a maximum of 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a local pay rate rather than the standard travel rate
