Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP.

Details

• Night shift position in the ICU of a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Weekend coverage required on a 3 out of every 6 weeks schedule
• Floating may be required within scope to the IMCU and ICU as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting is done in Epic; experience with Epic is required
• Parking is free
• Scrubs must be navy

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license is acceptable at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP required
• Experience assisting with line insertion and intubation required
• Experience with hypothermia protocols required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting with line insertions and intubations, managing CRRT/CVVHD, operating IABP, and implementing hypothermia protocols
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
