Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment at an acute care Magnet facility serving Alaska Native communities, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and trauma experience.
Details
- Work in a 152-bed acute care Magnet hospital serving both inpatient and outpatient populations, with the majority of cases coming from inpatient and the ER
- Patient population is complex and diverse, with significant social history considerations, requiring cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native community
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred CT procedures include aspirations, brain perfusion, and drainage
- Primary equipment used is GE; Toshiba experience is preferred
- Charting is done in Cerner; Cerner experience is preferred
- PACS experience is preferred
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (exact shift start may vary slightly)
- On-call is required
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required; license required if applicable
- Proficiency with IV starts and contrast administration
- Experience in trauma, ED, inpatient, outpatient, and interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages
- Acute care hospital experience required
- Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
- NICU and PICU experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
