Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital assignment serving a diverse inpatient, ER, and outpatient population in Alaska.
Details
- Work in a 152-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER populations
- Primary patient load comes from inpatient and ER departments
- Preferred experience working in a Level I trauma center, NICU, or PICU setting
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred procedures include aspirations, brain perfusion, and drainage
- GE equipment used; Toshiba experience preferred
- Charting in Cerner; Cerner experience preferred
- PACS experience preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Sunday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- On-call is required
- Weekend coverage is not typical but may be required on occasion
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required
- Proficiency in IV starts and contrast administration
- Experience in trauma, angiography, ED, inpatient, outpatient settings, and procedural CT (biopsies and drainages)
- Active state license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a high volume of complex CT procedures on a diverse patient population with significant social complexity, including trauma and domestic violence cases
- Cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native population is essential for this role
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No floating to sister facilities required
- No cost parking available on-site for travelers
- Scrubs may be any color or pattern
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
- Once a contract is signed, changes to scheduling, RTO, or other contract terms cannot be accommodated
