Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital assignment serving a diverse inpatient, ER, and outpatient population in Alaska.

Details

  • Work in a 152-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER populations
  • Primary patient load comes from inpatient and ER departments
  • Preferred experience working in a Level I trauma center, NICU, or PICU setting
  • CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
  • Preferred procedures include aspirations, brain perfusion, and drainage
  • GE equipment used; Toshiba experience preferred
  • Charting in Cerner; Cerner experience preferred
  • PACS experience preferred
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Sunday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • On-call is required
  • Weekend coverage is not typical but may be required on occasion

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
  • Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required
  • Proficiency in IV starts and contrast administration
  • Experience in trauma, angiography, ED, inpatient, outpatient settings, and procedural CT (biopsies and drainages)
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform a high volume of complex CT procedures on a diverse patient population with significant social complexity, including trauma and domestic violence cases
  • Cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native population is essential for this role
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No floating to sister facilities required
  • No cost parking available on-site for travelers
  • Scrubs may be any color or pattern
  • All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
  • Once a contract is signed, changes to scheduling, RTO, or other contract terms cannot be accommodated
