Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit position in Michigan, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• 54-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit in a hospital setting
• Primary cardiac telemetry unit serving patients with heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke requiring cardiac monitoring, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain; may also receive overflow medical patients
• Patients are monitored both remotely via a telemetry room and directly on the unit
• Cardiac drip administration is required on this unit
• Charting via Cerner PowerChart
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (0700–1930)
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 assigned holidays
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6, but may increase to 1:7 in the event of call-ins
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac telemetry monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and caring for a complex cardiovascular and stroke patient population
• The unit is actively onboarding travelers to help manage workload during call-ins, and the hiring process for PCTs has begun
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, though the management team will make efforts to accommodate requests
• All time off and scheduling requests should be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Royal blue scrubs required
