Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (Acute Care) with pelvic floor certification (CAPP-Pelvic or PRPC) and oncology experience for a 13-week hospital-based outpatient assignment.
Details
- Outpatient oncology specialty hospital setting focused on patients with cancer-related and pelvic floor diagnoses
- Pelvic floor caseload includes stress/fecal incontinence, constipation, painful intercourse, pelvic pain, pre/post-op pelvic floor care, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vaginal stenosis, low anterior resection, and pudendal neuralgia
- General oncology PT caseload includes low back pain, frozen shoulder, neuropathy, general strengthening, and ROM deficits
- Approximately 7 patient visits per day
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Epic EMR used for documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- CAPP-Pelvic or PRPC certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Active PT license required if applicable
- Experience in outpatient clinic and oncology settings required
- Proficiency with geriatric populations and adaptive/assistive devices required
- Competency in pelvic floor training, therapeutic exercise (AROM/AAROM/PROM), pain assessment, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring required
- Experience with gait training equipment (gait belt, crutches, rolling walker, standard walker, Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, wheelchair assessment) required
- Skills in patient/family education, home exercise program development, and safety/injury prevention required
- OCS certification preferred
- Experience in cardiopulmonary, neuro, orthopedics, women's health, or vestibular therapy preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation is 40+ hours on-site
- Required scrub colors are grey, Caribbean blue, or navy
- Preferred additional skills include biofeedback, myofascial release, spinal mobilization, e-stim, TENS, ultrasound, and moist heat modalities
