Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and proficiency with advanced mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, Impella, and LVAD/RVAD.

Details

  • Placement in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of an academic medical center
  • Cares for critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical circulatory support
  • Proficiency with CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices — including Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and ECMO — is essential to this role
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Epic EMR used; prior experience required

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Utah or a valid Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
  • Hands-on experience with CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and MCS devices (Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, ECMO) required
  • Prior Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — those currently living in the state of Utah are not eligible
  • Up to 10 days of RTO available per 13-week contract, with additional RTO available proportionally for longer contract lengths
