Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract requiring active IN or Compact licensure and a comprehensive trauma certification package.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to nearby sister/affiliate facilities may be required on occasion
- Cerner charting experience is required
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license in hand
- Required certifications (AHA or RQI accepted): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Minimum 18 months of ER experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Indiana residents are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are considered only with 2–3 years of ER experience
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
- RTO of 5 days or fewer can be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break; in-state residents require a 180-day break
