Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/Med-Surg Telemetry position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and a night shift schedule.

Details

• Med-Surg/Step Down unit (7E) within an acute care hospital setting
• Traveler will be placed on the unit of greatest need, either a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, based on individual skill set
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set, both on-site and to sister facilities within 40 miles
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates with either a Med-Surg or Step Down RN background will be considered, as credentialing is the same for both skill sets
• Nursys license verification and primary source license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Local candidates within the facility's radius may be considered but at a reduced pay rate
