Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/Intermediate Care position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and a valid WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital step down/intermediate care unit setting
- Travelers may be placed on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on greatest need and individual skill set
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set onsite or to other sites within 40 miles
- Epic EMR used
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or acute care step down experience
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
- Must provide a copy of Driver's License, 2 professional references, and copies of all certifications and license verifications for consideration

- Candidate must provide full SSN and full date of birth (DOB) for consideration
- Local candidates are accepted, but a radius rule applies — candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible at a reduced pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
