Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health position in the York Division of a Maine-based health system, requiring at least 2 years of home health experience and OASIS proficiency.

Details

• Home health setting serving patients across an assigned territory within York County, ME
• Adult patient population including med/surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU cases
• Caseload of 20–25 patients with an expectation of 6 visits per day
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required: every other weekend with a weekday off, or a set schedule of Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu based on agency needs
• Evening call required 2–4 times per month between 5:00–8:00 PM; no overnight call
• No floating between units; up to a 25-mile float between facilities may be required as needed
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Clinician is assigned a laptop, iPhone, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, and agency bag — all equipment must be returned at end of contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maine or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of home health RN experience required
• Epic and OASIS experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• Preferred skills include IV therapy, tube feeds, trachs, compression wraps, port access, ostomy care, chest tubes, catheter care, and lab draws

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include case management, direct patient visits, and potential revisit coverage based on agency needs
• Collaborative team environment with an emphasis on communication and openness to feedback
• Business casual attire or scrubs of any color are acceptable; jeans, open-toed shoes, and clothing with holes are not permitted
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this history
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Use of AirPods, personal laptops, and cell phones while on assignment is prohibited
