Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a small community hospital in Elkhorn, WI, requiring OR experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in a 4-OR Surgery Room at a small, 64-bed community hospital in Elkhorn, WI
• Patient population includes GYN, General, ENT, Urology, Orthopedic, Podiatry, and Vascular cases
• RNs primarily circulate; some RNs may also scrub to assist as surgical tech or retract
• Charting via Epic; Pyxis and Alaris pumps used on unit
• Schedule rotates between 4x8-hour shifts one week (32 hrs) and 3x8-hour shifts the next week (24 hrs), 0645–1515
• On-call required once per week and every 4th weekend
• Weekend rotation includes on-call every 4th weekend
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required to Southern Lakes and Burlington Hospital per contract
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, collected within the last year
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Primarily circulating RN role; scrubbing to assist as surgical tech or retract may be required for some RNs
• 1-day orientation provided
