Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Operating Room to serve as Circulating Nurse, requiring 1-3 years of OR experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room unit
- 40 hours per week with a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Call required, approximately three weeknights per month (5p-7a) and one weekend day per month (Saturday or Sunday, 7a-7a)
- Cares for patients across pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
- Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing license
- Current BLS certification required (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA)
- Current PALS certification required (AHA)
- 1-3 years of Operating Room experience required
- Must function as Circulating Nurse and patient advocate for anesthetized patients
- Ability to interact effectively with patients across a range of intellectual and physical abilities
Additional Information
- Serve as patient advocate for anesthetized surgical patients while meeting their physiologic and functional needs
- Interact and coordinate care on an interdisciplinary level
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced rate
- No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking lots required
