Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Critical Care/Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
• 2:1 patient ratio for CCU patients
• Unit supported by unit secretary on days and nights, with occasional tech help
• Uses GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Meditech documentation system used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Requires 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Contract labor floats before core staff

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular and vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients
• Experience with bedside central line placement and massive transfusion protocol procedures
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No Canadian SSN accepted
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide advanced critical care nursing to CCU patients including management of vasopressor drips and ventilated patients
• Facility recognized as the highest level of care unit in Sumner County
• Facility is a CT&I (Clinical Transformation & Innovation) alpha hub focused on leveraging technology to increase patient care time
• Recently upgraded GE monitoring equipment
• Flexible scheduling options available
• Black scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
