Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN for a 13-week travel contract in Statesboro, GA, requiring 2+ years of OR experience including robotics, ortho, general, and OB/GYN cases.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 9 OR suites
• Scope of practice is circulating, including pulling supplies and equipment for cases
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Robotics, orthopedic, general surgery, and OB/GYN cases performed
• Schedule is either 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or 5x8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
• On-call required: 1–2 nights per week (first and second call) and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience required
• Experience in robotics, orthopedic, general surgery, and OB/GYN cases required
• BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Cerner experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating in the OR, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready for cases, communicating with patient families, maintaining physician preference cards, and supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other surgical team members in accordance with AORN standards and State Nurse Practice Act
• Green scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; 2+ years of OR experience is required
