Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a Level II Trauma Center in Sanford, FL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Position is based in the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab of a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with a full-service cardiovascular program
• Unit consists of 2 Cath Lab rooms, 1 EP Lab, and a holding area
• Patient ratios are 1:1 to 2:1
• Procedures performed include TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripheral interventions, Impella, and balloon pump
• Equipment used includes GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, and Penumbra
• Documentation systems include Mac Lab and Meditech
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM with late stay on-call rotation
• Schedule consists of 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts
• Floating may be required to the holding area, EP lab, or other areas within scope of practice
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• For EP circulating roles: proficiency in at least two of the following — circulating, scrubbing, or monitoring
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Scrubs are provided and candidates must follow the hospital's uniform dress code policy
• Unit is staffed with a Director, Charge RN, Techs, and RNs
• The hospital is designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• The facility offers the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and west Volusia counties, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology
