Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3-5 years of experience and NJ radiographic licensure for a Special Procedures department.
Details
- Work in a Radiology Special Procedures department performing complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
- Assist proceduralists via scrubbing, circulating, and retrieving complex products during procedures
- Utilizes floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
- Operates power injection of iodinated contrast media devices
- Uses Epic EMR and sends images to Sectra/PACS system
- PM shift schedule with 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- On-call required every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
- May float to a sister hospital as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist
- NJ radiographic licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification from AHA or an accredited equivalent with skill demonstration
- Current ARRT (R) certification required
- High School Diploma/GED and Associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program
- Strong critical thinking skills for neuro-interventional and complex cases
- Proficient in maintaining sterile technique and infection prevention measures
- Experience with groin management post-intervention
- Strong closed-loop communication skills
