Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU position at a Level II teaching hospital, requiring ACLS and NIH certifications with vasoactive drip experience.

Details

• Step-down/PCU unit in a 370-bed acute care, Level II teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Experience with vasoactive and specialty drips required, including insulin, nicardipine, dexmedetomidine, and nitroglycerin
• Rotating shift with both day (7:00–19:00) and night (19:00–7:30) coverage on 3x12-hour shifts
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope to like units required to meet facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licensure is not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Step-down or PCU experience required
• Proficiency with vasoactive drip management (insulin, nicardipine, dexmedetomidine, nitroglycerin)

• Scrub color is navy blue
• Time-off requests are subject to manager's discretion
