Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a day shift position at a Level 1 trauma hospital in the Boston area, requiring MA CT licensure, ARRT (CT) certification, and Siemens experience.
Details
- Work setting is a Level 1 trauma hospital in Boston, MA
- CT department with rotation among radiology clinics and divisions, including off-site locations, as needed
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability required
- Non-rotating shift
- Siemens CT equipment used
- Epic used for charting
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with at least 1 year in CT
- Active MA Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Epic charting experience
- 2 references required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Operate CT equipment including CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices to acquire diagnostic images per departmental protocol
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction, following all contrast administration policies
- Calibrate and verify equipment operation daily and report malfunctions as needed
- May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
- Participate in research programs, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain CEUs in accordance with MA State Licensure and ARRT requirements
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking lots are available nearby
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- Time keeping is managed via UKG/Kronos
