Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, with call and holiday coverage requirements.
Details
- Cath Lab unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Call requirements include one weekend and 4–6 call days per 6-week schedule
- Weekends are included in call rotation
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Active professional licensure must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred — some units require two on file for review
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule modifications are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them — no holiday RTO will be approved
- If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
- Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to determine fit prior to manager review
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
