Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center in Salem, OR, requiring IMC and telemetry experience with Epic charting skills.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting — Magnet-designated, academic teaching, Level II Trauma Center with 569 staffed beds
- D5 Med Tele Unit, focused on medical telemetry patients
- Patient ratios: RN 1:4–6; CNA 1:6–13 on days and 1:10–13 on nights
- Night shift (7pm–7:30am), 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 36 or 48 hours per week options available
- Every other weekend required (not guaranteed)
- Floating within scope may be required, including to a nearby sister hospital
- Charting via Epic (required, no exceptions)
- Free on-site parking available
- Royal Blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required — pending licensure is not accepted
- Current BLS certification through AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience within the last 3 years required
- IMC (Intermediate Care) and telemetry experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Demonstrated skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation
- COVID vaccination required — no exemptions
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
- RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require approval; RTO must be established upfront and cannot be modified after submission, as additional requests may result in cancellation
- Former employees of this facility must have been away for a minimum of 6 months before returning as a traveler
- 13-week contract minimum; candidates interested in a longer assignment should indicate this when applying
