Description

American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist with at least 1 year of IR, Hybrid OR, and Special Procedures experience for a 13-week travel assignment in southern New Jersey.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit at an acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • IR program supports both inpatient and outpatient populations with advanced angiographic, embolization, biopsy, venous access, and interventional therapies
  • Daily caseload of 7–15 cases
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
  • No weekend requirement for regular shifts
  • On-call requirement of 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks
  • Travelers are first to float between two campuses located approximately 12 miles apart (15–20 minute drive)
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local pay rates

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of IR, Hybrid OR, Scrub, and Special Procedures experience required
  • Current ARRT(R), ACLS, and BLS required; ARRT(VI) preferred
  • NJDEP Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable (must be obtained prior to start)
  • Proficiency with PACS and equipment, inventory, and supply management
  • Experience with room circulation, sterile scrub technique, access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Venous access skills including ports, PICC lines, and central venous lines (care and maintenance)
  • Experience with abdominal and visceral procedures including angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement/removal, stent placement, liver biopsy, aortography, and chemoembolization
  • Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, ureteral stent placement, biliary drainage, uterine arterial embolization, and gastrostomy
  • Experience with vascular procedures including carotid stenting, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Orientation is 2 days
  • Missed shifts may need to be made up during the same week or at the end of the assignment
  • Hospital scrubs are provided
  • Parking is provided at each campus
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application, as requests made afterward may not be approved
