Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville
• 39-bed Med/Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Common diagnoses include fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
• Patient ratio of approximately 4:1
• Charting is done in Paragon EHR
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required on weekends
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• The facility is part of the Duke LifePoint Health system and serves a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, spine, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
• Located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with easy access to Asheville, Knoxville, and Greenville
