Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Stepdown patient population with cases ranging from simple to complex
• ICU experience is preferred for this role
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Stepdown (SD) or Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Previous workers at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to return after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension)
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
