Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit (Zayed 11 West) position requiring telemetry experience and pre/post-operative care background on nights.

Details

• Work in a surgical/urology/thoracic inpatient unit at a large academic medical center
• Unit provides two levels of care: adult inpatient acute care and telemetry with continuous vital sign monitoring
• Patient population includes pre- and post-surgical, urology, and thoracic cases
• Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
• Telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience required
• Pre- and post-surgical nursing experience required
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Current BLS certification required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Prior travel assignment experience (1–2 assignments) preferred
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• 13-week contract
