Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring broad surgical specialty experience including ortho, neuro, and robotics, with Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level II Trauma Center with 385 staffed beds
• Operating Room unit performing 60–70 cases per day across high-acuity specialties including ortho, neuro, gen/trauma, vascular, endovascular/hybrid, GYN/uro, ENT/plastics, eyes, and robotics
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45–17:15
• On-call required: up to four 8-hour shifts per 4-week cycle
• No floating required
• Common equipment includes DaVinci Xi Robots (4 active robot rooms including one DaVinci 5), Doppler, Ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, Video Systems, Lasers, Various Stapling Systems, Hana and Jackson Tables, Neuro Beds with Attachments, and Cryoablation
• Charting system: Epic (1 year of experience required)
• Scrubs are provided in the OR
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required; pending license will be considered with proof of application on file
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level I–II trauma OR experience required, with well-rounded exposure across all surgical specialties
• Minimum 2 years of ortho OR experience at a Level I–II facility, including total joints
• Minimum 2 years of neuro OR experience at a Level II facility, including craniotomies
• Must be highly proficient and comfortable in a Level II trauma environment
• 1 year of Epic experience required
• Previous travel or permanent employment with PeaceHealth must be disclosed, including facility and dates
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All required certifications must be active at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Performs high-acuity surgical cases across ortho, neuro, gen/trauma, vascular, GYN/uro, ENT/plastics, eyes, and robotics throughout all hours of operation
• Facility is a nonprofit Level II Trauma Center and a DaVinci Robotics Center of Excellence
• Orientation is held bi-weekly on Mondays
• RTO requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis with no blanket restrictions
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates will not be considered for this position
