Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a MI RN license and prior oncology experience is beneficial.
Details
- Work in the 11 East unit of a hospital setting
- Oncology patient population, including administration of chemotherapy
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Oncology experience preferred
- Must complete the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or hold OCN certification to administer chemotherapy infusions to patients actively receiving treatment
Additional Information
- Staff complete a unit-based oncology course and orientation before administering non-vesicant chemotherapy
- Candidates without completed ONS course or OCN certification will not be assigned patients actively receiving chemotherapy infusions
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
