Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a Level II Trauma Center hospital in Charleston, SC, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 313-bed Level II Trauma Center hospital in Charleston, SC
• Unit operates 2 cath labs with approximately 10 cases per day
• Procedures performed include LHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, and IABP
• GE X-ray equipment is used in the lab
• Documentation systems include Maclab and Meditech
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 7–9 call days per month, including at least 1 weekend
• Travelers are scheduled every other weekend in rotation with hospital staff
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis with hospital employees
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted) required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience required
• Proficiency with emergency medications required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• The facility is an HCA Healthcare hospital accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology and a Stroke Center by The Joint Commission
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
