Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience for a 13-week travel contract in Myrtle Beach, SC, working Friday through Sunday on 12-hour day shifts.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department within a 400-bed facility housing the area's only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers
- Performs ED and inpatient CT exams only, following a compassionate care model
- Average of 180 CT exams per day across 3 scanners (GE 512, GE 128, and GE 32-slice)
- Staffing of 2 techs per scanner during the day; 3 techs total on overnight shifts
- Procedures include trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremity, and CTA studies
- Documents using Meditech
- Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (3x12-hour day shifts)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, with at least 1 year in a Level I Trauma setting
- Must have active experience in the role within the last 6 months
- ARRT (Radiography) required; ARRT (CT) preferred
- Ability to independently operate GE CT equipment
- Ability to perform routine CT exams for all ED and inpatient types
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- License required if applicable
